Here is a new Dwarven warrior released by Playmobil in Germany now at the end of 2021. It should hit the US market at the beginning of the year 2022. (This is just my wild estimate).
This dwarf looks highly detailed with a double icy axe on top of his helmet. The same kind of double axe is seen on the flag, which may indicate some sort of viking dwarf!
Above you can see all the accessories that comes with this playmobil special plus set 70378, a shield, hammer, flag, two swords, one knife and a fully armored dwarven knight!
This is the Novelmore Playmobil set 70778 Advent Calendar, or as known in german: “Adventskalender”. This is a special set that is opened a little bit each day of the month of December, all the way from Day 1 to the 24th when Christmas arrives.
Each door you open will have a Date on them (1-24), and each day, you get a specific playmobil item, slowly building a cool looking set, having it completed on Christmas day to be played with.
This playmobil set 70746 brings forth the Demon’s Lair, with two knights: Umbrathor and Vermithor, both Violet Vale’s warriors. If you look at the left side of the box, there is a strange little demonic creature that jumps out of a coffin.
Below you can watch the full playmobil review of the Violet Vale set 70746 Demon’s Lair from Novelmore.
This demon looks very unique and well designed, a mixture of a Dragon with strong humanoid features.
Above you can view all the accessories that comes with this set 70746, and there are a ton of it!
This is yet another unique Novelmore set designed by Playmobil, Violet Vale, the Wizard’s Tower. This set comes with three new characters. The entryway reminds me of a Hobbit hole, with a round doorway, the rest looks a little elvish. Definitely eye catching and shoots up anyone’s imagination.
This seems to be the main building of the Violet Vale wizards, where they gather to defend themselves from the Sa’ahari Sands Skeleton Knights.
Above you can watch the full review of the Playmobil set 70745 Violet Vale Wizard’s Tower by PlaymoBello on Youtube.
Above you can view all the accessories that comes with this set 70745, including the three brand new Playmobil characters.
The year 1996 wasn’t much of a strong year for fans of the medieval knights sets. Playmobil only released five new boxes with this theme, but, they were all absolutely eye catching and awesome to own, probably some of the most wanted and coolest vintage sets to date.
This is the coolest Siege Tower ever made by Playmobil, as shown here with set 3887. This was released just a couple years after the Medieval Castles from 1993, sets 3666 and 3667. The above shows somewhat of a different faction, the red eagles, but I believe they belong to the Castle Knights faction from set 3666, because their coat of arms uses the main colors green and yellow. (See their flag below).
As mentioned above, the Castle Knights follow the colors yellow and green, which could indicate that the Eagle Knights belong to their kingdom. You can play in any way you wish, doesn’t really matter! This set 3888 is another genius design by Playmobil: An invasion Tower with ladders and ropes to break into enemy castles. Not only it comes with eight knights, but also connects to castle set 3666 or 3667.
Playmobil set 3889 brings a platoon of four arrow and crossbow men, fortified with a mobile wooden wall, to barricade themselves from enemies projectiles. Fantastic display of medieval strategy with this set.
In this set we have a Baron, or heavily armored knight, Playmobil set 3890, with his loyal companion, a black dog. He seems to carry a coat of arms of a Black Eagle that doesn’t belong to any of the factions from 1993 sets.
I call this set the “Traveling Lady Merchant” but the official title for this Playmobil set 3891, is “The Ox Cart”. You can do a lot with it! The lady can be a traveling doctor, or just a helping girl, that can aid wounded knights by bandaging them. The set comes with a head and arm bandages for the soldiers. She is also in the trade business, with tables, a wine (or beer) keg, and a goat.
Starting with the Playmobil Tournament set 3652, we have a magnificent tent for the prince and princesses to watch knights fighting for a reward – that being a golden sword, a title or the hand of a lady.
In addition, Playmobil set 3654 introduced a new knight for the tournament set, the Swam Knight, accompanied of an assistant. The Swam Knight comes with a neatly furnished tent and a rack full of weapons.
With set 3659, Playmobil released the King and Queen of the Royal (Red) Knights, among them a messenger, two Royal Guards, a little prince, a Lady and a Trumpet man – and why not a little puppy?
Playmobil set 3665 was underrated back in the 90’s, some toy companies (other countries) didn’t even release this tower, yet it is the best looking and most awesome tower ever made by Playmobil: The Red Baron’s tower!
Playmobil set 3666 remains as the coolest vintage castle ever made! So large you can sit inside of it (if you are small enough). This magnificent fortress comes full of accessories and characters. This set includes two royal castle guards, a vagabond and his son. The kid is shown training with wooden swords on the cover of the box art.
This castle is gigantic, with several rooms to play in, a throne room, dining room and even a cellar. Set 3666 also connects to set 3667 and 3888 making it the largest Playmobil castle to date.
Playmobil set 3667 is one of my personal favorite castles. Perfectly nostalgic, following basic castle construction and strategy, plus it includes five characters fully equipped with weapons of war.
There is no Tournament without training. So here is Playmobil set 3668, the training knights. You get one knight of each faction: The Castle Knight (Green), the Royal Knight (Red) and the Swam Knight (Blue), all of them ready to train using a rotating dummy. They are all allies and live in the large Playmobil castle 3666.
A mysterious purple and black knight comes into play, as of Playmobil set 3669, giving the Red Baron’s kingdom a Knight to participate in the tournaments. A fully equipped knight and two assistants, increasing the numbers of soldiers to protect the Dragon Tower.
The Prison Chariot, Playmobil set 3674, with two Royal guards to ensure the prisoners can’t escape, much less be rescued by a small army. This set has a horse and a cage to transport criminals from one castle cell to another in safety.
Playmobil set 3651 comes in a very small box, a single yet awesome character: The Lion Knight Archer! He introduces the first version of the tower shield and a cool eye patch.
Playmobil set 3317 is a neatly cool glow in the dark Ghost! Not just that, but Playmobil realized that old medieval castles are so old, they should be haunted by ghosts as well. The ghost carries an actual chain and heavy metal ball around his feet.
1998 Playmobil Add-On
The images below show the three options for Add-Ons that Playmobil released in 1998 to complement the soldiers of each castle 3665, 3666 and 3667
We have the Lion Knights Leader, set 7665 and three lion knights soldiers, set 7664. Totaling in four new knights to add to the castle set 3667.
Above we have the Golden Dragon Leader from set 7672, and three golden dragon soldiers, from set 7671 to increase the population of the Red Baron’s tower, Playmobil set 3665.
And at last, above we have the Knights Captain set 7674, with three new soldiers, set 7673, each matching one of the allied factions of the Playmobil Castle Set 3666.
Here is the Playmobil set 70538 Novelmore Defense Squad, exclusively released in Europe in the year 2020 and discontinued (it seems?) in 2021.
This set 70538 has a brand new Novelmore character: Taylinn. She seems to be some sort of Bow-Lady, with an awesome ballista that shoots a hook with a rope attached to it.
Then we have Norman, a Novelmore Captain that reappears in this set, with different accessories as well as a defense wooden wall.
Above you can see the back of the box, showcasing all the accessories from the Playmobil set 70538. The main items to note are the wooden barrier and ballista. This set has not been released in the US, and as of today remains exclusive to Europe. Your only option here is eBay.
Here is Playmobil Novelmore set 70539, Burnham Raiders Flaming Ruin, released exclusively in Europe in the year 2020 and discontinued in 2021. This is a large set with 139 pieces, introducing a half wizard flaming tower, just like back in 1995 when Playmobil released some of their first vintage Knight sets.
This awesome tower shows some aging from battles and time, comes with four characters: Francis, Shiko (New), Flinton and Lucifex.
Above you can watch the complete review of the exclusive playmobil set 70539, Burnham Raiders, Flaming Ruins.
This Novelmore set 70539 comes with a ton of accessories, like a large beer keg, cannon, treasure chest, and cool looking staves! A total of four characters!
This playmobil set 7927 was released in 2007 as an Add-On titled: “Magician’s Workshop”. An addition to the Fantasy Knights sets from the year 1995 and 1996.
This set comes with a unique looking magician, wizard that only exists in this set, at least as of now. Very rare to find, if you ever see a complete set 7927 anywhere, just grab it! I would say it is worth around $20.00 to $45.00 US Dollars.
Above is the AD for the playmobil set 7927, straight from the 2007 French Catalog. “Noveau” means “New” in French. Enjoy!
This is one epic major rock castle! Playmobil set 3269 released in the year 2004. This castle comes with four brand new red dragon knights and a horse. This fortress has a cave inside that can host the Red Dragon released in the same year.
Below is a review of the playmobil set 3269 from the year 2004. The red Dragon Knight Fortress! A Castle built on top of a rock, one of my absolute favorite sets from Playmobil.
This fortress was released twice by Playmobil, the second time it came with a different color scheme, for example, the doors were red with a black dragon, instead of the reverse.
Above you can view all the accessories that comes with this castle, including a good peek at the inside of the fortress.
This is a very unknown playmobil set 4063, few people have seen it. It wasn’t promoted much by Playmobil but it did get released and sold. Good luck finding one for sell, considering the few sold boxes around the world.
This is almost a copy of the Baron’s Tower from 1993, with some minor changes, there is a square wall added at the base and a smaller tower in the middle, smaller by 2 levels. The characters are Eagle Knights using the same yellow and purple colors from the Purple Dragon Knights.
Above you can see all the accessories that comes with this set, including a lion, some bones, four knights and a few crows. Not a bad set, but it does look incomplete when compared to the Red Baron’s Tower.
The year 1999 wasn’t much of a strong year for medieval knights fans, Playmobil only released one set: 3030 Knights Castle Adventure Set.
This is one of the most unknown playmobil sets out there and yet the greatest ever released! Specially for the year it came out: 1999! This was the first time Playmobil released an invading ladder and a little castle wall that can be played as is or can be attached to the large castle 3667 and 3666.
Above is the full video review of the playmobil set 3030 from the year 1999. This video is made by PlaymoBello on Youtube.
This box comes with no less than six knights and two horses! There are a ton of accessories in here! Weapons, shields, ladders, even a catapult!
The official title for this Playmobil set 3891 is “The Ox Cart”. You can do a lot with it! The lady can be a traveling doctor, or just a helping girl, that can aid wounded knights by bandaging them.
The set comes with a head and arm bandages for the soldiers. She is also in the trade business, with tables, a wine (or beer) keg and a goat. The knight’s shield is very strange as it has a cow and flowers.

Here is a pictorial list of all the accessories that comes with this set, including both of the main characters, one bull and a grey dog!
In this set we have a Baron, a heavily armored knight, Playmobil set 3890, with his loyal companion a black dog. He seems to carry a coat of arms of a Black Eagle that doesn’t belong to any of the factions from the 1993 sets.
This is a very small box containing only the Baron and his dog. Plus a few accessories. He is very similar to the knight that comes with the Ox Cart released in 1997.
Above you can watch the video review of the playmobil set 3890, by PlaymoBello on Youtube, if you enjoy the video please like and subscribe!
Above is the back of the box of the playmobil set 3890, showcasing all the accessories that comes with this set. A vintage looking sword, armor that does not match: the helmet is silver vs armor black and a puppy.
Playmobil set 3889 brings a platoon of four arrow and crossbow men, fortified with a mobile wooden wall, to barricade themselves from enemies projectiles. Fantastic display of medieval strategy with this set.
Above is the box art of the set 3889, archers with a green malta cross following the strips green and yellow. These guys can be used as a group of soldiers who fight behind a barrier in order to gain ground in a war.

This is the playmobil knights set 3668 training knights with a working dummy. Each character comes armed and ready for battle, or for training with the dummy.
This is a training playmobil set for your knights to learn movements and become more refined in the art of sword fighting, that is what dummy’s were used for in the medieval times.

This small box of Playmobil brings their first Dragon Knights set ever released! The year was 1993, possibly the best year for playmobil knight fans as the best was designed then,
You get a mounted black knight, with purple armor and a neat shield with a golden dragon stamped on it. The knight comes with all the necessary weapons to participate in the Tournaments.

Starting with the Playmobil Knights Tournament set 3652, this box comes with a magnificent tent for the prince and princesses to watch knights fighting or demonstrating their training. Their reward is a golden sword, a title or the hand of a lady.
This tent is very unique looking and probably the only one of its kind. Today this set completed sells for around 50 to 100 dollars.

Here are all the characters and accessories that comes with this knight set. A total of five highly trained tournament knights!
Playmobil set 3654 introduced a new knight for the tournament set, the Swan Knight, accompanied of an assistant. The Swam Knight comes with a neatly furnished tent and a rack full of weapons.

With set 3659 Playmobil released the King and Queen of the Royal (Red) Knights, among them a messenger, two Royal Guards, a little prince, a Lady and a Trumpet man.
There are so many characters packed up in this playmobil knights set. A total of 8 where three are soldiers and five are members of the royal cabinet.

Playmobil set 3665 was underrated back in the 90’s, some toy companies (other countries) didn’t even release this tower, yet it is the best looking and most awesome tower ever made by Playmobil: The Red Baron’s tower!
Above you can see the box art, where the Red Baron is carrying a bag of money and an axe. Two of the Castle knights are facing the Baron, indicating that maybe they are not friendly.
